ACAT Canada – Action by Christians for the Abolition of Torture

CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Recent
2011 2010 2009

June 26, 2012
International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.

June 23-24, 2012
The Night Vigil 2012: On the night of June 23 to 24, pray individually or in a group between 8 in the evening and 7:45 in the morning to remember in our prayers those who are suffering.
The theme this year, “A voice in the silence”, has been chosen from I Kings 19, verses 11-14
which tell of Elijah meeting the Lord on Mount Horeb. This meeting does not happen in the
strong wind, nor in the earthquake, nor even in the fire but in a still, small voice, as though a slight breeze broke the silence. It is not easy to detect, whether for a believer or a victim of
torture imprisoned in a dungeon.
Register Online starting May 3rd. Documentation (in French) available starting February 24.
